Beautifully carved with Louisiana State Seal, and 8th Regiment Company A. Also a silver U.C.V. medal inscribed to Leon J. Fremaux Captain Engineers 1861 - 1865 and a wonderful pen and ink drawing signed by L.J. Fremaux (he is listed in "Who's Who of American Artists"). The drawing is a comical conversation between Sitting Bull and one of his warriors. A nice personal Confederate grouping.
Beautifully engraved with Kings Cypher (crown over GR) and "XXIX Regt". Super gilting.
All nicely marked with the occupation - fruiterer (very rare), mechanic, two servants and a porter. Some are maker marked by "aFar" seldom seen pieces of the Slave Era in America.
A great hand painted American eagle with "We are one" painted above. A rare federal period piece.
Inscribed "used by Secretary Knox in signing treaty of arbitration with Great Britain and France, White House Aug. 9, 1911." Presented to the President by Mr. Knox.
